Kool-aid comment explained
Hey Alan, the Kool-aid (technically a registered trademark with the K) comment is a reference to Jim Jones'[1] cult - the Peoples Temple. In 1978, his followers committed mass suicide by drinking cyanide-laced kool-aid (or according to wikipedia, it was was Flavor-aid, but that's the same type of flavoring for water). The terms "don't drink the kool-aid" and "I drank the kool-aid" are both references to that event.

mistakes...
From testing this again, it looks like defining the javascript functions that are bound to the objects are better defined inside the class that adds them, rather than putting them in the global Dtest class.

Kool-Aid comment properly explained ;)
Actually the "drink the kool-aid" meme comes from an earlier work called "The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test".

This book charts the story of Ken Kesey (author of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest) and the Merry Pranksters during the early days of LSD.

At various parties, the Pranksters would offer acid-laced Kool-Aid to guests. drinking the Kool-Aid therefore means going on the trip.

It's slightly ironic that you don't get the reference, given the "smoking too much php" title of this blog ;-)

Your friendly neighbourhood prankster.
