Midgard - http://www.midgard-project.org  - which what the back end of this site runs on, use topics and articles to store most of the content that you see when you look around this site. These objects have two key fields - abstract and content, now the old site, and phpmole could only see the content part. As part of the diary stuff, I wanted to access the abstracts so that you could see a summary of whats on the pages below the current one.

To do this involved changing how phpmole dealt with both the HTML editor and the scintilla source code editor - this mostly involved breaking each of the scintilla and html classes into two, so the core editor class only deals with actions and activities that occur on the individual editor, and it's manager class, deals with the multi document aspect.

The outcome is that when editing an article or topic, you get 2 html editing windows (either in scintilla or gtkhtml) - which makes editing the site very easy - well, after I tidied it up alot...
