Transports are the classes that handle the loading/saving, and tree fetching (directory listing) tasks. They may also handle other tasks (like the midgard transport) which has to deal with complex new document dialogs, and images as attachments to document objects.

Transports are also responsible for defining things like menu items for right mouse click, and responding to them.
