About This Site

This site migrated off of midgard, mainly due to the fact that I wrote alot the original management application, Nadmin (many moons ago), and was not too keen on the dependancy on that, among other issues about continued need to support non-core code (like recompiling it when I upgrade PHP/Apache)

My original concept was to base the site off a wiki system, I really like the concept of simple data storage that most wiki's employ (single layer tree storage), but after some testing, decided that the markup side of wiki's was not really as elegant as HTML.

The other key component is a subversion backend storage, so when I can easily fix stuff, and also use webdav (via Mozilla/javascript) to update pages.

The editing facility is a growth around a simple XUL interface, with editable iframes, I'm never ceased to be amazed by the power and reliability that mozilla's interface, and javascript provide.
